OFCOM have been working with the broadband internet providers to streamline swapping from one to another.
Under the new system your new provider will do all the work for you, you don’t have to get a code from your old provider anymore. This makes the whole process much easier and should take no longer than a week.
This new change procedure is being phased in so not all providers are using it yet. The new process should be universal within the next few months.
